At three this morning there was a fight outside my house. A bunch of people were involved, the cops came. It seemed to be a family "you stole my man" kind of thing. Of course, it woke me up. Because it's been in the nineties and my apartment is a powderkeg, it took me ages to get back to sleep. I finally made it at the crack of dawn.

When I woke up, I had the first line of Gone With the Wind (yeah, the book) in my head. On repeat.

Could be worse, you say? It was. Because it was the Potterized version of the line.

"Harry Potter was not beautiful, but men seldom realised it when caught by his charms as the Weasley twins were."

My subconscious scares me, especially when it's over 90 outside and I've only had three, three-and-a-half hours sleep.

In other news, the Air Show people are practising for Saturday's Air Show and boy, is it noisy around here. Jets screaming over my house. Ick.

Probably the "You stole my man" fight - with the constant thrum of HP in you rhead conspiring with the heat - made you think of the deep South.

but yeah - that's pretty wacky.
