I'm avoiding going to work, so here's a Poll of No Significance Whatsoever:

[Poll #1161452]

Now I'm really leaving, honest. After I drink some more Diet Coke.

Also Antarctica. Well, maybe not melting, but it's breaking apart.

If you play snap enough you'll find cards that match perfectly.

Is that like if you put five hundred monkeys in a room with five hundred typewriters eventually they'll write Hamlet? :)

Yes, it is. You might want the monkeys to be the ones playing snap. *nods*

To snap or not to snap, that is the question. Give banana now.

Is this a banana that I see before me?

Wait...wrong play.

All the world is a banana and men and women merely monkeys.

That which we call a banana by any other name would taste as sweet!

Deny thy brown spots, refuse thy peel! Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my snack food, And I'll no longer be a primate.

Hmmm. I don't think there is a Perfect Match, because if somebody was exactly what I wanted all the time I would begin to NOT WANT that because it would be boring and I would start to suspect the person of being a Cylon or something.

It is entirely possible to find an Extremely Awesome No One Could Be Better Match. :-)

I concur!

I think I have an Extremely Awesome No One Could Be Better Match. The things that aren't quite perfect just keep things interesting :)

Or a pod person or something out of The Stepford Wives.

What I was aiming for with 'perfect' was more along that Extremely Awesome No One Could Be Better definition. Perfect for the person, in other words.

*edits because 'in other worlds' means something entirely different from 'in other words'.*

I guess it depends on what would be "perfect" in a match between people. I think it's possible to meet someone with whom you'll have a great relationship for the rest of your life. Would somebody else possibly be better in some way? It's kind of a non-question. It's like looking at your newborn and saying "But could another baby have been better?"

Well, that's true, in the context of the new parent, but what about someone who either has never had children or has lost a child? Then the plot thickens, as it were.*

*I have no idea what the answer to this might be (if there is any), but playing devil's advocate can be fun! ;)
