Elton's official site has a video message from Captain Fantastic hisself. Guess what he says? He's going to be doing the music for the musical version of The Vampire Lestat. Guess who's doing the lyrics!!!11!!1!!!

Hey! While I'm not inclined to go fangirl over Sir Elton or Bernie, even I'm psyched to hear this one. I'm thinking The Vampire Lestat will make an excellent musical, in the Goth tradition of the ubiquitous Phantom, and I'm thinking Elton & Bernie can capture Lestat's flamboyance and dignity. Fun!

I'm keeping my eyes out. And really, for me, it's both of them or none. Elton's stuff isn't the same without Bernie. That's probably why I like the classic stuff best.
