Dude, I saw your comment to taradiane with the cover of the Elton John album on it and thought, OhMyGod, I'm not the only big EJ/BT fan in the HP fandom?!?

w00t. I've loved him since I was a kid and the very best concert I ever went to was when he and Billy Joel performed here.

I've looked for Elton/Bernie stuff, never found any. Maybe some things are just sacred. Elton and Bernie were never EltonandBernie, after all. Still, go read the lyrics of some stuff off Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy, and it makes you go hmmm...

It's funny you say that because I've always suspected that in the beginning, when they were still room mates, and Elton was just starting to realize his sexuality, that he had a crush on Bernie.

But, I think in the long run it's probably a good thing they were never together as a couple. I think their friendship is so special as it is that if they'd had some sort of romance and it didn't work out (and I dont' think it would have because Bernie's straight and if they'd been togeter I think he would have only done it for Elton's sake and a relationship can't work in the long run like that, ya know?) and then we wouldn't have one of the world's greatest song writing teams!

But on the other hand ... there is stuff that can be pulled from Captain Fantastic and the Dirt Brown Cowboy isn't there ...

I haven't listened to that in ages, I should go pull it out ...

Gah, I just realized that reads like I'm trying to say that the stuff people say is on CF&TBDC is there isn't there. That's not what I meant to imply at all. I meant to imply Oh yeah, there is stuff on that album, isn't there?
