[livejournal.com profile] luzula wrote me Birfday Fic. TWO, even!!! Go read, and tell her how good they are.

Also, apparently I am a Dreamy Idealist. Who knew? Oh, yeah, everyone. :D Clicky on the button to see:

We'll see then! That is not so far away. Hopefully we can hang out. :D

If you swing by my city, I know where there is a whole poutine shop. Also you don't like fries, eh? Potato forms are some of my favourite things...

We could swing by your city, I think. We're pretty open, except for Stratford on the 26th.

I love potatoes, just not fries (homemade fries being the exception). I will attempt poutine again (especially if there are home-made-type fries in the equation), since apparently what I had last year was Inferior.

Does the fact that I not only adore butter tarts but actually MAKE THEM give me back points lost because of the not-so-much-with-the-poutine thing? I should make some while I'm in Ontario so's y'all can laugh hysterically at me.

It's kind of out of the way. =/ We will track down some decent poutnie, though! there's got to be some around. I just really want to try this place downtown -- you can't go wrong with poutine made by a guy named Pierre, hein?

Butter tarts can't really be wrong. I mean, I like the generic supermarket ones just as well as the homemade goodness. When you're in Stratford, though, see if you can lay hands on some Mennonite butter tarts. I'd tell you to go directly to Mildmay and buy them from Anna-Mae, but that's way out of the area. ;)

I use this recipe, which is very yummy. Several times I've tried to make them to take places, and I always end up eating most of them. I don't make my own crust, but oh, well.

We'll have a couple of days in London and Stratford when I'm going to have to figure out Stuff to Do (because seriously, one can only gaze at cornfields for so long), so a butter tart hunt is a good thing to stick on the list. From my (limited) experience, Southern Ontario = cornfield, cornfield, cornfield, CITY, cornfield, cornfield, CITY, small town, cornfield, CITY, cornfield.

You forget the beans, wheat and cows.

But seriously, where else would we put the corn? Y'all keep something different outside city limits?
