They probably are watching the weather. Ottawa's due for a big storm (or so I read), so they probably wanted to get in before the deep freeze.

Yeah, that surprised me a lot. Apparently they're going to be charged with "Mischief". I keep wondering what would happen if someon decided to climb out on the roof of the US Senate. Not so much with the chill, I'm thinking.

Heeyeah. People who try crazy stuff like that here are usually David Koresh types or obscure militias or individual crazy people who think they're bullet-proof.

See, I've taken some climbing courses with environmental activists, and they're usually safety-conscious people. I'm pretty sure they have proper equipment and training (although there is always a risk, of course).

Also, they do this to get attention, and lo, it worked! *g*

Yeah, apparently they all knew what they were doing. It's mostly me being afraid of heights--I still haven't gone up in the CN Tower, fergodssake, because I can't find anyone willing to shell out the bucks to come with me and I won't go by myself.
