Have you read the recent biography by a UW-Eau Claire prof? Beyond the Miracle Worker, the remarkable story of Anne Sullivan Macy.. It's just out this year from Beacon Press in Boston. Since it digs deeper into the complicated relationship between Helen, Annie, and John Macy it yields more insight into Helen's romantic life. Annie Sullivan was quite the person, as well.
