Apparently a kit is necessary for toilet training.

Mmkay.

Oh, and. You can find my current music here (just click on the word "song" to listen or DL file). OMG Bernie sings!! Excuse me while I prostrate myself in utter worship.

If anyone can turn this into an mp3 for me, I'd oh, so appreciate it. I'll even write a drabble in some fandom if I know it. Or no fandom. I've been wanting an impetus to write recently.

Lyrics are here.

Is it scary of me to want to filk this song and call it "I Wanna be Like Draco Malfoy?". Um.

Okay, then. Off to the DMV. ETA: Not going to the DMV after all, because once again I don't have the proper paperwork. I can never win with those guys. :/

Woe for I cannot open the music file *wails* Either my computer is being utter rubbish or I'm doing something wrong *headdesk*

Must bother flatmates when they get back. They might be able to help me out (and I'll ask them for a conversion to .mp3 as well ;))

I'm sniggering over the toilet training kit BTW. No kid in our family ever needed something like that. We just went camping with our parents and learned to use the camping toilet and then those weird French 'hole-in-the-ground' things... And I'm not really missing those bear stickers in my upbringing either ;)

It's an .ram file, so I think you need realplayer to hear it. It doesn't work on iTunes or Winamp or anything like that. That's why I'd love an mp3 of it, if I could get it.

I'd buy the album it's from, but geez, it's $45.99! Grr.

Not going to the DMV after all, because once again I don't have the proper paperwork. Oy, this is like me and my taxes. I keep meaning to go to H&R Block and get the damn things done, but then I realize I need some other piece of paperwork. *rolls eyes* GUV'MINT IS EVIL. Except for Barack Obama and Jimmy Carter and maybe Bill Clinton.

Definitely Bill Clinton. He's flawed, like the rest, but I love him so anyway.

[identity profile] robinhoo.livejournal.com 2006-02-23 08:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I hart Bill as well, but this does not mean I think he was above the occasional shady, behind-closed-doors deal to get something he wanted, and that might possibly not be directly in the larger populace's best interests. In other words, I tend to think Bill's Machiavellian streak was a tad wider than Jimmy's and Barack's. But don't get me wrong, Bill rocks. The country had no idea how good we had it at the time. *mourns nostalgically*

Oh, I definitely agree with you. I think the only President who was actually everything he claimed to be was Jimmy Carter. His "I've lusted after a woman in my heart" wasn't a joke, it was a real confession, because his heartfelt religion told him that lusting and doing were the same thing. It was a big thing, to say that.

Still love Bill, though, because I think that he basically had the good of all in mind, despite some lapses. And yeah, we had no idea how good we had it. With either of them.

Oh, and get this! I'm most likely going to be able to attend President Carter's Sunday School class when I'm in GA next month, and get to meet him, however briefly. I'm v. v. excited. :)

NUH-UH!!! OMG, Prim, I am dying of envy... which is, of course, totally ironic.

OMG, if I got to sit in on his Sunday School class, I wouldn't be able to formulate a theological thought if my life depended on it. He'd ask me an Old Testament question, and I'd just sit there and gape in awe. I Jimmy so very much. And I totally agree with you: his confession was just that. I can't think of anyone alive who is a person so staunchly devoted to his/her principles as Jimmy Carter. He's one of those people who gives me hope for the whole human race.

Gotta get me a Jimmy icon.

He's one of those people who gives me hope for the whole human race.

Yep. And I'm not even a Christian, let alone a Baptist.

But we Unitarian Universalists are pretty open about such things, anyway. :)

[identity profile] robinhoo.livejournal.com 2006-02-24 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
I have known and ♥ed many a Unitarian Universalist in my day, and you are one of the finest. :)

I think one of the zillions of reasons I love Jimmy so is that I am Baptist, or at least was raised so (since I tend to wax hot and cold about retaining the label ever since seminary, lol). It's tough enough to bear up under the label "Christian" when you're an intelligent, liberal, non-creepy person, but good Lord, to call yourself "Baptist" is to tar yourself with the same brush as Jimmy fucking Falwell. It doesn't get much worse than that. But Jimmy Carter is living proof that we're not all in favor of starting up the witch hunts (for just about everybody) again.

What, you mean you don't want a diploma from Charmin University??

For whatever reason, despite the fact htat I'm supposed to always be logged in, I am apparently not... wtf?
