Also, [livejournal.com profile] patchfire and/or [livejournal.com profile] peacey, I'm running out to the store (well, walk out to the store, as opposed to driving, since Ellen is in car!hospital), then I'll be back. If you're around, we can discuss Travel Plans.

Yay, I have Travel Plans to discuss, whee!

You know, I have to say I am kinda pissed that it is available for pre-order on the American Amazon, while the Canadian one (which emails me 'suggested items' three times a week) hasn't notified me of a release date, let alone that it can be pre-ordered.

O ye of little faith.

It's just been put up for preorder in both places, apparently.

They literally had to have added it within the last 2 hours; I spent over 30 minutes weeding through and marking off all the 'suggestions' that were crap on their list.

So, in honour of that, I GIP.

I didn't just happen upon it, I'm never that lucky. Someone mentioned it on the PG-L list (which is oddly informative sometimes, and I don't know why I resisted joining it for so long).

PG-L.

I'm so not a joiner, so I had to really talk myself into this one. It's actually not bad, and there aren't any twelve-year-olds.

Ah. Well, I signed up too. I recently dumped a few of the inactive YaHell groups I belonged to, so this could be interesting.

ah Southern Cross, another song that I used to love. I had the album although I can't quite remember the year. Sometime in the early 80s I think.

Crosby, Stills and Nash - Southern Cross.

Probably it's not CSNY, just CSN. I can never remember which ones Neil Young sings on and which he doesn't.

I think you are correct.
Speaking of Mr. Young, a live cd/dvd has been released of his early 70s Toronto concert just before the release of "Harvest". Apparently it is outstanding.

I'll have to mention it to [livejournal.com profile] songdog (since I don't think she's been reading LJ recently). She's a big fan of his. Which means she probably already knows, and all, but hey.

My nephew ([livejournal.com profile] songdog's oldest) was in your neck of the woods this past week for one of the Sox-Jays games. He's an überfan, that one.

Peacey is eversosorry she missed you. But she was in Vegas, baby - where she saw Harvey Keitel talking on his cellphone on the steps of Caesar's. Not the first celebrity I'd chose to see, but still quite Cool.

When are you going to be about to discuss said Travel Plans whee? :)

Oh! I got you sumthin' from Vegas that yousa gonna love!

And girly, if you ever get the chance to see "Spamalot" (http://www.montypythonsspamalot.com/), like, go. Any musical that has lyrics like this (http://www.thebroadwaymusicals.com/lyrics/spamalot/thesongthatgoeslikethis.htm) and this (http://www.thebroadwaymusicals.com/lyrics/spamalot/youwontsucceedonbroadway.htm) is one to treasure.

You and I must go to Vegas sometime. I need a pally to hit the clubs wit.

Yay, presents!

Spamalot is on my wish list.

I've never had the slightest desire to go to Vegas, actually, but I'd love to tool around the desert and take pictures.

Here, have a song:

Rebecca Jenkins - Something's Coming (film version)

There's a studio version on Rebecca's website It's not the whole thing, but I think it's most of it, and it's pretty and has the extra verses. *g* I can't wait until the album is released.

Tanks for the song, darlin'. This last month, I could've written it because, well. I feel my something coming so strongly like thunder on the horizon.

As for Vegas, I never wanted to go either but my Mom gave Jim and I a trip there for Christmas one year. And in that trip, we found that we loved it.

Oh, and as for the places you suggested for Stratford/London, Cher already booked our hotel. She doesn't do hostels or B&B's, so we're staying in a chain (Days Inn). Not my decision, mind you. And tomorrow night sounds good for linking up. Just let me know when.
