Not to dissuade you from going, but if you thought driving in Toronto was bad before...TIFF is a new level of hell, what with street closures and crowds. From what I remember the weeklies saying, anything high profile and/or cool will be a bitch and half to get into, so plan to be there early.

Everything's downtown, though, and I can rec a good pub-place if you go.

If I do go, SO not driving (except to get there). Subways and such are my friends. Been there, done that, screamed at the city. *g*

Pub place? *perks up ears*

Go Google up yourself a place called C'est What - micro-brewed beer, good (good!) burgers, and "the finest poutine you'll find west of Quebec!"

I'll have to try the poutine there, since it's The Finest. I think my poutine issue is the fries, not the gravy or cheese. I don't HATE fries, but.

They're classy, thin-cut not-too-greasy fries, rather than the big monster things that the fast food poutine places use.
