Note to self: Never look at Mapquest directions while driving, because then you might not notice that the signal has changed, and could even end up BROADSIDING A MINIVAN.

*sigh* I am fine, save for an airbag burn on my chin and a slightly achy back. The other driver is fine as well, and was very gracious.

My car is another matter entirely. Of course I only have liability insurance. Having collision insurance would mean I actually do things right. Which obviously? I do NOT.

Dude. I've changed my LJ name-thing to "It's all Stephen Harper's fault". This consoles me, somehow.

(It's also Paul Gross' fault, because it was his fault I was on the road in the first place. Yeah, eventually I'll explain. ;)

Paul had a hand in this?

I am sure if he knew, he'd be there in an instant applying salve to your chin and working out the aches in your back ;)

Now see, if Paul hadn't decided to make Passchendaele (and never had to grovel for money and associate with Ralph Klein and other unpleasantries so that it took forever to happen and almost didn't) I wouldn't have bought that poster on eBay (at the Buy it Now Price, which wasn't as bad as the bid price for the first one but still pretty darned high, thank you eBay poster-seller) and also wouldn't have wanted to get it framed right away so have to schlep off to a store I didn't know how to get to and would still have a car.

He's totally forgiven, of course. And he's more than welcome to apply salve anywhere he wants, if it'll help him feel less guilty about things.

I can't really blame just him, though, because I was also taking the nice print of a charcoal drawing of the Centre Block by Yao Wen Kui that I bought last summer (fifteen bucks at Byward Market. Mr. eBay Poster Seller should be ashamed of himself). Stephen Harper works there (the Centre Block, not Byward Market. Although that would be amusing). Which means that it really is all his fault and if he even entertains the idea that I need to have salve applied and aches in my back worked out, well. He's not going to whitewash his guilt by using me. He can just send Paul Gross.
