From the Globe and Mail:

In early June, while attending the Banff World Television Festival, actor Paul Gross sat down with a reporter to give his opinion on the current rush of Canadian TV producers, distributors and broadcasters vying to team up with American networks. Never one to hold his tongue, Gross – whose show Due South was the first Canadian-made show to win a prime-time slot on a major U.S. network – said things that very few in the gung-ho-to-sell crowd wanted to hear.

Okay, Paul, now tell us what you REALLY think.

I wonder why they keep inviting him, with this really really bad habbit of his, which is telling the truths nobody (at least on his continent)really wants to hear.

Because he's controversial. And smart. And because he's most likely right.

Also, icon!

He's very welcome to tell me his opinion any time. I like it a lot.

Brilliant photos, he's looking amazing.

The heywriterboy blog covered Paul's comments in the G&M article and completely agreed with them. Even the tone of the article was pro-Paul for a change. And when has he ever been wrong?

Must be the water.

I don't know the heywriterboy blog. Must look.

And when has he ever been wrong?

Dunno. If I ever meet Martha Burns, it's one of the first things I'll ask her. :)

Nah, I think it's that painting in the attic again.

Heywriterboy blog here:

He often mentions Paul (and agrees with him!) but he's worth a read outside of that anyway as a man in the Can-Con biz.

Sorry, that was some bad punctuation. I'll shut up now and continue to lick my screen.

If it wasn't for bad punctuation...

Oh, okay, it's Dead Things on Sticks. I know of that one; I'm pretty sure I've read it on occasion.

Ah ok, different names for different folk. I thought it was a bit odd that you hadn't heard of it - I take the view that if I've heard of something, you certainly have :)

How's everything with you?

Everything is groovy. Except I still don't have coverage for my vacation time because scheduling is Evil and didn't put in my first request. I imagine I'll get it, but grr. I hate to have to work so hard and beg so many people to help me.

Back is feeling better, though, which is a giant plus. Not all the way, but a whole great big lot.

I would be more than happy to cover you if it were possible, and that is a complete bugger. :( I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get your time off.

Glad the back is better as well - What did you do in the end to help it?

Chiropractic, lots of it. Still ongoing. Also, I started Glucosamine and Chondroitin, which seems to be helping some.

You and your mad fast icon skillz. :D

Couldn't resist! Found the small icon at Gettyimages but the large version was watermarked, so decided to make the best out of a bad job.

I hear that Gluco. and Chondro. in combo help a hell of a lot of people- glad to hear that it is making things better for you as well :)
