Here's a blog from Isabelle Jeanson, a staff member of Médecins Sans Frontières currently working in Port-au-Prince.
According to the e-mail I got, MSF are in the process of building an inflatable hospital, which would be way cool if it wasn't so urgently necessary. Apparently there are a lot of amputations due to crushing.

Date: 2010-01-20 01:52 am (UTC)While my heart goes out to the victims, it also goes out to the people like Isabelle who are stuck looking at the whole mess, having limited resources and say-so, and who can only watch things get worse for people and be powerless to do anything about it.
Yet they still keep on and keep trying to save and improve lives, no matter how ghastly the whole mess is. There's something in someone who has that sort of spirit and drive and decency.
Also, an inflatable hospital? Sounds freaking AWESOME.
