Today I'm counting my blessings in celebration with you instead of observing the Holiday That Must Not Be Named (you know, the C-word. Eesh).
Besides, your Thanksgiving date makes more sense than ours. The harvest has been loong gone by the fourth Thursday in November(not that I won't be scarfing down Mother's mashed potatoes when the time comes).

Date: 2003-10-16 04:00 am (UTC)shoppingholiday season.Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving on the first Monday in October (I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, Canadians!) I think this is a more appropriate date because Thanksgiving is a celebration of the fruits of the Harvest, and the Harvest is long over by the end of November.
