When you see this, post a quote from Babylon 5 in your journal.

"The avalanche has started; it's too late for the pebbles to vote."

If that isn't the best quote ever for the current zeitgeist, I don't know what is (yes, I know "current zeitgeist" is an oxymoron, but I can't think of a better word, so there).

I know, I know. I'd doubtless love it. It's just that when I do manage to watch TV lately, it's something Shakespeare (MacBeth with Ian McKellan and Judi Dench last night) or South Park.

I know you don't like SP, but the new one that aired this week was even more brilliant than usual. ONE DAY after the election, they aired an ep in which Obama was elected President. Their twist on it? That the whole election was a plot between Obama and McCain and their gang (including Michelle & Sara) to get one of them into the White House so they had access to a security tunnel that ran from under the Oval Office past the Smithsonian. Ala Ocean's Eleven, they'd burrow up into the museum, steal the Hope Diamond, fake their own deaths, and fly to Tahiti. OMG, as a bedraggled McCain supporter, it was exactly the mood-lightener I needed. Plus they lampooned the kool-aid mentality of Obama supporters en masse and the "the country's gonna burn" mentality of the McCain supporters en masse. You can watch the whole thing here (http://www.southparkstudios.com/news/3548). At around 20-ish minutes, I highly recommend you do.

I appreciate SP, I really do. I admire their edginess and barrier-smashing. I just find their stuff personally squickmaking for the most part. In general, though, I hope the creators keep it up, and may their tribe increase.

And I will take a look at it, I promise!

ETA: Just started watching this and already I want to kick the guy with the mustache in the head. I suspect this is the desired effect. *g*

That's Randy. And yeah, I suspect so, but he's always the annoying guy. For example, he gets into fights with other fathers at his son's little league games. So it's par for the course for him.
