So, anyone want to take a road trip with
andeincascade and me?
This is the road we'll be taking:

This is the route map:

A recently-tuned SUV is a plus, but not necessary. ;)

Date: 2010-09-29 08:25 pm (UTC)My main drawback as a traveling partner: I have no driving licence.
My advantages: I give good backrubs. Also, I will talk endlessly about botany (heh, or maybe that's a drawback).
Are you guys thinking next summer? And where would you start from? How long time do you estimate it would take?

Date: 2010-09-29 09:19 pm (UTC)I want to hear all about the plants along the way, so it's all good (I think I may fall completely in love with purple saxifrage). I also heart backrubs, as my back and I don't always get along.
Maybe you could do some carbon offset kind of thing to lessen our guilt?

Date: 2010-10-10 01:35 pm (UTC)Next year's job situation is somewhat unsure at the moment. If I get teaching in the fall, it'll be hard to get time off after the first of September. But there's also a chance that I'll have full-time research, in which case I can take my vacation whenever I want. Annnnd there's also a chance I'll be unemployed, in which case I will happily be out traveling. I'll keep you updated.
Also, there's some darkness at night in August, at least, so you'd have a chance at the northern lights then.
