I think I'm going to unsub from all my political groups on LJ and keep the political stuff mostly on facebook. Not that I won't post or rant about politics at all, but I really want to get back into fandom, and keeping this space as mostly-fannish/semi-personal will help a LOT. I may keep a few of my news feeds, but I can read them on Google, so there's really no need.

I'm going to try to make at least two posts here a week to start with. A lot of fandom is passing me by, and I want back in! So, that's where you guys come in. Tell me important stuff that's going on! Meetups? Challenges? I want to WRITE again! Definitely doing DSSS as usual (the day I don't do that, I'll know I'm out of fandom, and I'm NOT OUT OF FANDOM, DAMMIT), so I have to get in gear! Help, plz?

Now I'm off to the YMCA (cue dorky dancing) to renew my membership. IT'S (ALMOST) AUTUMN AND I'M PUMPED, GUYS! :)

My Fraser/Thatcher beginning thing (all of like, three sentences) is trapped in my old hard drive, which my sister thinks she might have but doesn't know for sure. I should start it over, I guess. :)

I'm still RPing, in two pan-fandom games now. :) You should come and join one! (I think that one should be Killjoy RPG because it's fun and smaller and doesn't move too fast and the people are all consistently awesome.

Oh, yeah. I loved doing that, but eventually I couldn't get anyone to RP in my canon. Probably because like you said, it's big and sprawling. The problem with Killjoy is I know almost none of the canons of the other characters (not a comics person). It might be interesting, though, to RP with people I *don't* know anything about.

I'm not a comics person, either. The only reason I play a comic-canon character is because he's been in 3 films, and he's mostly movieverse with what little I could glean from the Marvel Universe online encyclopedia. :)

Though you should read the Dresden Files if you haven't. They're awesome. Also the Cal Leandros series. And that covers most of my canon knowledge of KJ characters right there. ;)

Also, Shan (frogmajick), who played Stu Redman at TR, is one of the mods at Killjoy and really really wants you to come play with her again. :D

Really? That's very encouraging! :) Is there a limit on who I can app for? I wouldn't do Eddie unless there was someone else in canon there, but I have a couple of other ideas.

Have not read the Dresden Files, but it's on the list. I can move it up. Never heard of Cal Leandros.

Nope, there's no limit on who, as long as you can AU them to fit the game. The mods are really flexible on how you go about that. One of my characters I just changed so he grew up in Kin City instead of Chicago, one migrated from earth, and the new one I'm bringing is getting zapped by some time travel anomaly and just dumped there. :)

Cal Leandros is by Rob Thurman, and it's urban fantasy. I'm in love with the series. It has 6 books so far with a 7th due out in March.
